about
Is there anyone who actually does not like Dean Martin? In retrospect, he may well have been an even bigger talent than he was considered in his ‘50s heyday – perhaps his boozy schtick put some people off. Frank Benedetto has done this song many dozen times (including on ‘Bounce!’) and even after repeated hearings, its swing and insouciance never get old. It just shows that big band syncopation was still alive and well in the ‘50s (and thanks to this band, is doing just fine today).
